Agri Tech/STEAM Learning Labs combining local food production using Aquaponics & Hydroponics
Bountyhaus School Farms are ‘hands on’ teaching tools and learning labs that can also provide year round fresh produce. We use a semi-automated Aquaponic plant growing farm housed within a modular, self-contained environment that is also known as Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA). The Farms are 240 square foot in size that can easily locate within School grounds, local city community gardens and are perfectly aligned for innovation centers. School farms can also be located inside existing buildings such as Churches, Recreation and Community Centers that are more focused on hyper local food production within their communities.
School Farms are outfitted with the latest energy efficient equipment for low operating costs and semi automated for simplicity. They are a powerful STEAM teaching tool where students can break away from text books and studying for an interactive, immersive and fun learning experience all year long, regardless of season or inclement weather. Hands-on learning, farming and fundraising do not have to stop because of seasonal weather with Bountyhaus School Farms! Community gardens can continue to be community year round and produce amazing amounts of nutritious fresh produce without the hassle of soil farming.

Where Does Bountyhaus Fit?
We’re so glad you asked! Bountyhaus has a versatile application that can be used in many different locations.
Elementary, Middle and High Schools
Designed primarily for hands on STEAM educational purposes, Bountyhaus School Farms is ideal for school systems. In an ever-changing, increasingly complex world, it's more important than ever that our nation's youth are prepared to bring knowledge and skills to solve problems. These are the kinds of skills that students develop in science, technology, engineering, math and the arts—disciplines collectively known as STEAM. If we want a nation where our future leaders, neighbors, and workers have the ability to understand and solve some of the complex challenges of today and tomorrow, and to meet the demands of the dynamic and evolving workforce, building students' skills, content knowledge, and fluency in STEAM fields is essential. We must also make sure that, no matter where children live, they have access to quality learning environments.
Colleges & Innovation Labs/Agri Tech Learning Centers
Bountyhaus School Farms can be utilized in Colleges applying more advanced studies of STEAM subjects and environmental studies. Chemistry, Physics, Microbiology, Business & Marketing are just some of the areas that College students can delve into. Bountyhaus School Farms is not your normal seasonally limited outdoor garden but a semi-automated controlled environment space using aquaponics where live fish species co-exist with plants in a balanced eco-system. School Farms can also provide leafy green produce for College cafeterias.
Churches
Whether located just outside or inside of your Church year round farming will create a valuable asset that will create interest and fresh food. Providing an exciting easy to operate hands on tool that will provide your members fresh produce to take home, donate or fundraise, the options are many.
Community Gardens & Recreation Centers
Community gardens in many cities become dormant during long winter months and require a lot of physical labor to maintain due to heavy lifting and moving soil. Weeds, pests, animals and seasonal storms often make productive growing challenging at the best of times. With short growing seasons in many regions across the US, that means community do not commune as often and the outdoor gardens lay dormant for many months. Bountyhaus Farms provides year round local community engagement and plenty of healthy food regardless of the time of year or location. Community centers, recreation centers are also well positioned for either our internal or external located Farms options.
Homeless Shelters, Soup Kitchens, and Urban Metros
Vocational training in the areas such as farming, nutrition and cooking are just some of the great benefits of School Farms. Year round fresh produce for soup kitchens is a bonus but the main focus is engaging and connecting homeless by giving them tasks that are exciting, fun and empowering that they can grow on into further opportunities. It may just be the first step in being able to provide self confidence and connection which can create many positive possibilities for everyone involved.
Justice & Correctional Centers
Juvenile Justice and correctional centers are great places to utilize School Farms. Vocational training and self empowerment is a great first step with rehabilitation and connecting people back within their local community. School Farms is not only educational but a lot of fun feeding fish and seeing your own seeded plants grow to maturity and then the kitchen.
